Anneliese and Mieczysław Koćwin Foundation Council  on 12.12.2019 announces a competition for science and research scholarships.

The competition is addressed to people who are studying or preparing a doctoral dissertation at the university or in a research institute to obtain a master's or doctoral degree.

Only natural persons who are over 21 but not older than 35 years old at the moment of granting the Scholarship can be the scholarship holders.  

The scholarship of 1200 CHF (per month) is awarded in the Competition for implementation of a research project. The funding period under which the Scholarship is awarded and paid is a maximum of 12 (twelve) months.

Projects that are implemented in accordance with the principles of the methodology of sciences, in the fields of humanities and social sciences in Switzerland, in Swiss universities, higher education institutions or research institutes will be financed. The scholarship is granted for the stay in Switzerland during the implementation of the research. Each candidate can submit only one scholarship application for a given project in a given Competition.

Scholarships are granted by the Foundation Council in accordance with the statutory objectives of the Foundation, through the Competition process, the procedures of which is described by "Regulations for granting research scholarships by the Anneliese and Mieczysław Koćwin Foundation" that is effective from December 28, 2017. 


The Applicants who meet the criteria for participation in the Competition are required to fill in the Scholarship Application form to participate in the Competition procedure.

The scholarship application must be submitted within 60 days from 12.12.2019 (until 9.02.2020) as follows:

The Candidates send the completed Scholarship Application form and any other requested documents attached by traditional post to the address: die Anneliese und Mieczyslaw Kocwin Stiftung c/o Herr Jaroslaw Andrzej Horzemski, Ettingerstrasse 32, 4106 Therwil, Switzerland and simultaneously in the form of an e-mail containing the scanned Application form to the e-mail address of the recipient of the documents, i.e. Anneliese and Mieczysław Koćwin Foundation:

Applications submitted after the deadline for submission of applications, incomplete applications or not signed applications shall not be processed.

The deadline is considered to be met only if the application has been sent by both traditional post (stamp date decides), as well as by e-mail to the address provided. Evaluation of applications within the Competition procedure is made by the Competition Commission. It is composed of two representatives of the Foundation Council and one Foundation Advisor, representing the Polish Social and Cultural Centre in London.

Anneliese and Mieczysław Koćwin Foundation is the administrator of personal data of the Candidates. You can contact the administrator via the e-mail address Personal data will be processed for the purpose of implementation of the statutory tasks of the Foundation. The data obtained from the application for the scholarship and attached documents will be subject to processing.

Only the entities authorized to obtain personal data on the basis of legal regulations, as well as authorized associates or suppliers of technical and organizational services for the Foundation shall be the recipients of personal data of the Candidates. The personal data of the Candidates shall be kept until the objection is filed or until the archiving obligation expires. The Candidates have the right to request access to personal data being processed, the right to rectify it, delete or limit processing, as well as the right to object to the processing of personal data and the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory body. 

At the same time, the Foundation assures that the Candidates shall not be subject to automated decisions, and the Candidates' data shall not be subject to profiling.
