The research scholarship is awarded by the founding organization, the Anneliese and Mieczysław Koćwin Foundation with its seat in Switzerland. The Foundation grants scholarship for staying in Switzerland while working on a research project. The projects supported by the Foundation are those executed in Switzerland, at Swiss universities, institutions of higher education or research institutes.
The scholarship is granted by the Foundation’s Council in accordance with the statutory purposes of the Foundation to the winners of a Competition, whose entry is defined by the Regulations for granting research scholarship by the Anneliese and Mieczysław Koćwin Foundation of December 28, 2017.
A review of all applications to enter the Competition is performed by the Competition Commission which consists of three Members. Two of them are the representatives of the Foundation’s Council and one Foundation’s Counselor who represents the Polish Social and Cultural Association in London.
The Foundation finances projects in accordance with the scientific methodology, in the fields of humanities and social sciences knowledge. The scholarship holders may only be natural persons over 21 years of age and under 35 years of age the moment the Scholarship is granted. The Scholarship is granted and paid out for the funding period of a maximum of 12 (twelve) months. The detailed time frame of the Scholarship for a given edition of the Competition is defined in the Competition Announcement.
